KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two local service members will soon have companionship thanks to a local dog bakery.

The organization will use the money to buy two service dogs for service members.
“These young men and women, less than 2 percent of our population, serve our country and enable us to do what we do every day,” Food Industry Serving Heroes founder Paul Chapa said.
Service dogs help veterans deal with issues from PTSD to injuries.
The dogs are in high demand, and some veterans have to wait three years to receive one.
