Armed Forces Day 2024

The 9th Annual Armed Forces Day event, held at New Century on May 4th, was a great success. It showcased more military and law enforcement equipment than ever before. FISH also presented service dog #41, named Donavan, after Marine LCpl Donovan Davis. 50 Marine poolies also took the Oath to defend our nation. The 20th Sgt Major of the Marine Corps, Carlos Ruiz, and BGen Brandi Peasley also attended.
The 2025 event date is to be announced soon, but this is a must-not-miss event for your calendar.

FISH Surprises Vet On Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas, everyone! We hope you have a fantastic day with family and friends.
FISH – Friends In Service of Heroes had one more thing to do this, Christmas Day, and that was to surprise a Cold War Navy Corpsman with a bariatric chair and Powerchair ramp for his wife. His wife has been unable to see her children and grandchildren at her son’s home for several years due to transportation issues. With the help of this bariatric wheelchair and mobility chair ramps, that will no longer be an issue. Thanks to our friend and former Kansas City Chiefs player, John Lohmeyer, for going FISHing and making us aware of this deserving veteran.
