Fireside180 /FISH Veterans Group

Ash and Anvil, 204 E. Park St, Gardner, KS

3rd Wednesday of every month at 1900.

We are excited to announce that FISH (Friends In Service of Heroes) and Fireside180 have partnered with Ash and Anvil (Gardner, KS) to provide a Veterans Fireside180 group. This is a Christian-based group whose mission is to help veterans in need. It will allow a place where Veterans can share what is troubling them, and the group will work together through scripture in the Bible to help navigate those issues. This group will provide camaraderie and fellowship, and we will hold each other accountable to make that step forward in our lives and our walk with Christ. We were all warriors for our country, and now we will be warriors for Christ. We will help our fellow brothers and sisters by sharing his word. We hope to put a dent in the 22-a-day suicides by veterans. Please spread the word and share with any veterans who might need this.

There are a few rules, though.

1. You can bring any thoughts or issues to the fire.

2. What is said at the fire stays at the fire. We want it to be a place where you can get anything off your chest with no judgment to truly heal from what’s bothering you.

3. We want to help veterans navigate through PTSD and find ways to live again through Christ.

The fires will go like this. Introductions, opening prayer, Go around the fire telling how God is working in your life and what we can pray on for things you need help with.
