F.I.S.H. (Friends in Service of Heroes) and KCAOG are having a joint dinner event to kick off the fall season. Come join us for dinner and a presentation on a fall Thursday night.  Tickets will be available via our KCAOG website for dinner. Those wishing to just hear the presentation are welcome to come just for it later that evening.

 

Dinner with the Space Shuttle and Hubble Telescope

 

Guest Speaker: Lt. Col. Gregory Shuey, USAF (Ret) is a 1968 Air Force Academy graduate, Vietnam war veteran, instructor, fighter and functional test pilot with nearly 3,000 hours in 13 different aircraft. He was the former Air Force Director of Engineering for the Space Shuttle Program (Johnson Space Center), Navy FLTSATCOM satellite Engineering Manager, A-10 pilot and war planner, and negotiator for US Forces, Korea. He is also an Air Force Academy Liaison Officer and President of the Air Force Academy Association of Graduates, Kansas City Chapter.

 

Topic:  Lt. Col. Shuey will be presenting the engineering marvels of the Space Shuttle and the Hubble Space Telescope as well as his experience as Air Force Director of Engineering at Johnson Space Center during 14 Shuttle launches including the tragic Challenger disaster.

 

Menu:  Grilled Chicken Breasts, Brisket, Mashed Potatoes, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Rolls, Iced Tea
