An event commemorating the 76th anniversary of the Iwo Jima battle. FISH will continue Jerry Ingram’s tradition of honoring the 4th marine division that fought in that battle. The event gathers at the Leavenworth National Cemetery near a monument honoring that same division. Jerry Ingram is one of just two of the last local survivors of the battle. He’s president of the 39th Chapter of the 4th Marine Division Association of World War II. The battle of Iwo Jima was one of the costliest of the history of the Marine Corps, and we hope to see you there.
